Rugged Science builds ruggedized computers for the U.S. military and some of the most innovative industrial companies in the world — and business is growing fast. We’re looking for a hands-on, high-integrity Director of Accounting to work directly with our CFO and lead the effort on scaling our finance function.

This role combines tactical accounting work with strategic exposure — and it's designed for someone who wants to grow as the company grows. If you’ve got DCMA or government contracting experience, even better. CPA? Huge plus.

What You’ll Own

• Full-cycle accounting: AR/AP, close process, and monthly financial reporting
• Payroll, HR coordination, and sales tax filings
• Cash flow forecasting and financial analysis
• Customer onboarding documentation and supplier compliance
• General ledger reconciliations and process improvements

What You Bring

• BS in Accounting (CPA preferred)
• 3+ years in progressive finance roles
• Payroll and sales tax know-how
• Experience in government contracting or DCMA environments a strong bonus
• Analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and a team-first approach
