The Operator Interface Computer (OIC) from Rugged Science is an environmentally sealed, IP65 enclosure that has been approved for MIL-S-901D Shock, Grade A, Type 1 in an unrestricted mounting orientation. It is designed with corrosion resistant all aluminum construction and serves as a protective enclosure for a MILCORTEX 3000-Series embedded computer, which can be ordered separately with different options and supplied as a fully assembled enclosed and sealed headless computer.

The enclosure door features a locking provision for physical security and can include an optional remote door monitoring alarm. A pre-configured I/O plate on the bottom of the OIC Enclosure provides customized selection of input/output connections via circular military connectors or optional commercial connectors. An aluminum mounting bracket kit allows the OIC Enclosure to be either deck or bulkhead mount. Its compact dimensions make it ideal for shipboard spaces where bulkhead real estate is limited.
