Rugged Science is a designer and manufacturer of ruggedized, embedded computer products. We specialize in custom prototype development as well as sustained production runs. Our products combine metal enclosures, computers, displays, and electronics. All of these items require interconnections through copper and fiber cable assemblies. Rugged Science is currently in need of a Logistics Associate at our Sparks, MD facility. Successful candidates will support material flow, shipping/receiving, and inventory control for Industrial and Government applications.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming purchase orders within the ERP system (Global Shop)
• Pull material for all orders based on work order requirements
• Package finished goods for shipment to prevent damage in transit
• Process outgoing shipments to vendors and customers (domestic and international)
• Ensure company SOPs are closely followed to maintain accurate inventory counts
• Complete inventory cycle counts as required
• Handle all material per SOPs to prevent damage to components
• Maintain a clean and organized work space
• Support other departments to provide material as needed

Key Skills

• Ability to work closely with other team members on a consistent basis
• Experience using an ERP system for inventory management and order processing
• Experience processing international shipments
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and various other software packages
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience operating box trucks (preferred)
• Ability to operate a forklift (preferred)
• Experience with ITAR (preferred)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or greater (required)
• 1–2 years' experience as a shipping/receiving clerk

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Salary Range

$15–$25 per hour

Schedule

Monday–Friday, standard daytime hours (overtime may be available based on scheduling requirements)
